lilo.conf is not used during boot, so anything you do to
it will have no effect.  The file is used only when 
installing the loader, so the "magic" happens when you 
create the target (peewee does it all for you).  I don't 
have any idea how to alter this (I would have to know
how the peewee scripts work), other than changing things
in the "configure target" step.
