[Peeweelinux] Kernel Compile failure

I am Sudhanshu from Boulder CO
Using successfully the latest version of Peewee LInux.
Thanks for the good work !!
Recently i tried compiling the the custum kernel using pwlconfig menu.
I did't add any thing custum but just took the 2.2.17-13 code used standard
peeweelinux-basic configuration.
and compiled the kernel.
The Problem is the scripts comes out with kernel compiled successful after
creating custom kernel package, But there is no bzImage file in the boot
directory.
The modules are getting compiled fine.
when i tried compiling using make dep;make clean;make bzImage in the
.../usr/src/linux/* directory.
the make bzImage fails at Checksum.S at line 234 complaining badly puntuated
parameter in #define.
The #define problem gets fixed if i remove option -traditional from the make
file but then it crashes in get_address.c in line 177 & 187 complaining
invalid lvalue in asm statement.
Any idead what i am missing !!!
