Error message during boot.

I have been trying for some time to completely hide the output of linux
on an embedded application. I have succeeded except for a single error
message that appears between the end of the linuxrc script and the
beginning of the init.rc script. The error message produced is
"tcsetpgrp: Inappropriate ioctl for device".

Has anyone else seen this message? Is it unique to my setup, or is it
something more generic? Does anyone have a way to suppress it?
