imagemate help

Maybe my previous message on this subject got lost so here I am again.
Dmesg shows the imagemate as scsi0 but  trying to mount it as /dev/sda1 returns
"wrong major or minor number". Basically the question is how can I access the disk?
BTW, the disk is a 64MB.
