I agree 100% but unfortunately I don't have much say in the matter. I'll
likely let their admins worry about making sure the nfs server IP never
changes ;-)

Back to the original problem and to satisfy my curiosity, is it feasible
to unpack the ramdisk image, modify it and then repack it within PWL?
