[Peeweelinux] Boot/CRC Problems

Marc,

You can use the IDE-> Compact flash adapters that
are sold on compactflash.com to hook up a compact
flash card to your 2.5" IDE connector. These work
well. I'm going to make a little bracket to
mount the 2.5" IDE-> CF Adapter on my PC104 stack.
(some PC104 vendors have dual CF sockets connected
to an IDE controller on a PC104 card, but I don't want
to spend the money and add another layer to my stack).

In my case, I'm trying to first get the system
booted off of one of these adapters (when I get the
bzImage crc error). I'd like to use the PCMCIA, since
it makes the system more compact (no extra cables or
brackets) but if I have to, I'll use an IDE adapter.

Thanks for your help and quick responses. I'm going to
keep trying to get past the loading bzImage crc error
during boot from a CF on a CF-> IDE adapter. I'm thinking
of trying to get zImage to load instead...
