I did this as well. I got the same Segmentation fault error.

I'll give that a try and see what I see.

I'm still working on it. My application doesn't actually require me to
run an xterm, but I hate unsolved puzzles!!! Xterm is the only
application that I've tried that actually has problems. xmag, oclock,
xload, all have been tried and work fine.

Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one with this problem.
I was beginning to believe that I was doing something completely stupid.
